The Samsung Galaxy S6 Review
Samsung Galaxy S6 is a giant step above the less than desirable Samsung Galaxy S5. It is such an improvement; we can almost forgive them and we applaud their clean slate approach!
The Samsung Galaxy S6 is super sleek, with the full design done in aluminum alloy and glass. They even surpassed previous models with a double-curve screen, which is very impressive. To date this is the best design Samsung has introduced.
Though always the top-of-the-line with their dynamics, apps and technological advancement; until the Galaxy S6; the exterior of their phones did not measure up. Their high quality phones behaved as such, but looked low end.
Their competition took notice and pounded Samsung with super sleek, high quality exteriors. That is all changed with this all metal and glass phone. The designers at Samsung were given the freedom to make the phone of their dreams and they had some really cool dreams!
The design and curve of the Samsung Galaxy S6 supports an improved speaker, with noise cancelling technology.
Perhaps the most impressive improvement is the 16 mega pixel camera. This camera is arguably the best for quality, color and clarity on the market than any other phone, including the Apple iPhone 6 and the Apple iPhone 6 plus.
There is also an awesome auto tracking focus built in to the camera. This keeps focus on the subject even if it is moving. Another function camera lovers will appreciate is the “double-click camera ready”. No matter what screen you are on, when you double-click the home key you are ready to snap a picture. We all love to grab that unique picture on the spur of the moment. With this camera, you are ready to snap your picture in 0.07 seconds!
There are a couple of downsides to this phone. Android users were not happy with the non-removable battery. However the battery life (though not superior) is about the same as any other phone we have tested. It should carry a normal user through the day. Besides, portable chargers are very inexpensive and to have a lightweight and super slim phone makes this worth it to most users.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 has all new software and all new hardware and the differences are obvious to android users. The super-fast processors, brighter on screen display colors and more control over the display at the touch of a finer make this phone far above previous models.
The phone automatically will change from a Wi-Fi network to a cellular network when the Wi-Fi network becomes unstable. There are also features that just make the phone fun. For example the phone can be set to give a short vibration when the phone is picked up and there are missed calls. You can also Zoom-In to 4K videos as they play.
Overall, the Samsung S6 is the best of the best and we are very impressed!
